To kickstart your locum career with Team Locum, you’ll need to create an account and register as a locum professional. Here is your step-by-step registration guide
Our guide will walk you through the registration process, ensuring that you provide all the necessary information to showcase your expertise and qualifications effectively.
We start off easy enough, by clicking sign up here you will begin the process.
From here you will be taken to a page asking for some basic details, your first and last name, date of birth, email address and will ask you to input a password,
When you scroll down, it will ask for all basic address details and your phone number
once that is complete, scroll down again, select your profession, enter your preferred travel radius, then read and accept the terms.
Once you have selected your profession it will ask you for your GOC, GPHC, or equivalent.
Once all this has been completed and you click save and continue, you will be taken to the declaration page.
You will be asked to state any criminal convictions (if you have had any)
You will then scroll down and you will be asked the following questions, just select “yes” and “no” accordingly, agree to the declaration below and you are done with the initial stage of the sign up process.
Now you will be taken straight to the dashboard!
Hold up though, we arent done yet. You may notice you cant view any shifts, we still need you to fill in your Nationality & Work Status, Basic Practice Requirements, and Referees.
On the dashboard you will be able to access the dropdown menu in the top right hand corner, where you will be able to access everything else you will need to upload.
On the “Your profile” section, everything you entered previously should be filled in automatically and the only thing you will need to enter here is your profile picture. This can be done directly from your phone using the little red camera icon.
The next on the dropdown is nationality and work status, which is all pretty self explanatory, if you are not a UK or Irish national you will need to upload your right to work share code or equivalent.
Below that you will need to enter your national insurance number, in the format AB123007C.
You will then need to disclose any fitness to practice or disciplinary issues.
Referees are next, all you need to do is fill in the details of two relevant references and select their preferred method of communication.
This is often what can hold up the registration process so its always good to let the people you are putting down know to expect a reference request.
The next part is where the bulk of the information lies.
Depending on your profession it will ask for different documents but will always follow the trend of the number or reference (GPhC, GOC, GMC, Dispenser Qualification), other information (optional, does not need to be filled in), start and end date.
once these have all been filled in click save and you are done!
You will now be put through to the registration team who will review your documents and if everything is in order activate your profile!
You will then be able to apply for shifts, negotiate rates, set your availability and so much more. As always if you need any help from the team during your registration process just email [email protected]
