Working for boots through an optometry agency
To register you will need to send their details over to the Boots contact we provide (name, GOC, address and email address)-
From here you will be temporarily set up on the system, from here you will be sent a form to fill and also to the booking platform Boots now use where you will be set up (you can set Team Locum as your preferred agency).
The details they require are an Enhanced DBS, 2 references (both of whom have to be on the GOC register), Indemnity Insurance, your passport and if applicable your right to work.
- Payment is automatic once you are signed up. Payment is scheduled for the first working day 2 months after the shift.
I.e. if you worked on the 15th Jan you would be paid on the first working day in march
Working for vision express through an optometry agency
- Contact your consultant and they can send you a link to register with VE.
- Once this has been completed you will receive a signed copy of your contract to your email, you will need to forward this to your consultant so they can complete your registration process.
- We will then notify you once you have been registered and can start booking shifts with vision express.
- All payments are processed automatically through the vision express app once you are registered.
Working for Scrivens through an optometry agency
- At the time of your first booking, send details from the HMRC to the consultant that you booked with so they can be sent across to Scrivens
- For payment, you will need to leave an invoice in branch or email [email protected]
Working for Scrivens through an optometry agency
- At the time of your first booking, notify your consultant if you are PCSE registered.
- Marks and spencer opticians are a subsidiary of Scrivens so you will need to notify your consultant if you have worked for Scrivens before.
Working for Specsavers through an optometry agency
- To start working with Specsavers, you will need to download the SEP portal app.
This will give you access to uploading documents and submitting invoices to the relevant stores.
Working for Independents and Multiples through an optometry agency
- Most independent practices and small multiples wont have an initial sign up process, you will just need to leave an invoice in the branch once your shift has been completed.
- Though Bayfields will require you to email across the invoice to [email protected]
